Las Cruces, New Mexico: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) with La Calerita Construction has begun construction with lane restrictions posted along NM-28 between Hickory Drive and Lakeside Drive (mile marker 29.5 to 29.1). The contractor is moving forwarded as scheduled with the reconstruction of the bridge on Interstate-10 and Avenida de Mesilla (Exit 141), which includes new ascending and descending ramps for this interchange.
 
The contractor will be closing the eastbound I-10 on ramp at exit 141 effective Monday July 29th at 6:00 a.m., and will remain closed until early October of 2013. Detours will be posted alerting motorists of alternate routes on University and Motel Blvd. The public will have full access on Interstate 10 for all east and westbound traffic.
 
Utility work will commence Monday July 29th on Lakeside Drive at the intersection of NM-28, which should not interfere with any service.
