ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The New Mexico Department of Health, New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department announce Seniors’ Celebration Day & Healthy Living Day on Monday, September 11th at the New Mexico State Fair at Expo New Mexico.

The agencies are working together to promote healthy living for seniors and all New Mexicans through Main Street displays and information booths from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including:

Free health screenings (blood pressure readings, body mass index measurements and medication reviews)
General dental screenings
Flu and pneumonia shots
Adult Falls Prevention
Chronic Disease Prevention and Control
Alzheimer’s and Dementia Program
NM Conference on Aging
Medicare and Medicaid insurance providers
and other valuable statewide programs and resources

Exhibits will connect New Mexicans to vital community resources and services that can help them stay healthy and independent.

Admission to the NM State Fair is $2.00 all day Monday, with free general parking available at Gate 8 (Louisiana Blvd & Lomas Blvd NE).
