Chaves County- On November 11, 2019 at about 3:20 p.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a single vehicle fatal crash on South Main Street, near the Roswell Relief Route, south of Roswell, NM. 

The Initial investigation indicated a 2005 Ford Focus, driven by Alazay Wright (18) of Roswell, NM was traveling north on South Main Street in Roswell. For unknown reasons Wright loss control of the Focus, left the roadway and struck a tree head-on in the median. Wright sustained fatal injuries in the crash and she was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of Medical Investigator.

Alcohol was not a factor and seatbelts appear to have not been properly used. No additional information is available.
