State Parks to remain closed through April 30

Santa Fe – The statewide public health order has been extended through April 30. In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and as directed by the Governor, the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) announces the following changes in office access and the extension of State Parks closures. EMNRD has shifted as many employees to telework as possible.

EMNRD Headquarters - Wendell Chino Building

Most staff with offices in EMNRD's Wendell Chino Building headquarters in Santa Fe are teleworking. Access to the building is by appointment only for limited circumstances when important business cannot be conducted remotely.

State Forestry Field Offices
State Forestry field offices are closed through April 30. The phone number for State Forestry is 505-476-3325 and the website can be found here.

State Parks
In accordance with the Governor's most recent order, NM State Parks are closed through April 30. Campsite reservations through April 30 will be canceled and refunded. Oil Conservation Division (OCD) Field Offices

OCD field offices are only accessible by appointment and the public and oil and gas operators are encouraged to conduct business online as much as possible. For additional details on the OCD's operations in light of COVID-19 orders and contact information, please see our public notice.

State government remains dedicated to serving New Mexicans while ensuring the safety of our community. All New Mexicans have been instructed to stay home except for outings absolutely necessary for health, safety and welfare. Restrictions have been enacted to aggressively minimize person-to-person contact and ensure spread is mitigated. All businesses except those deemed essential have been ordered to close.
