People looking for strategies to cope with anxiety, depression or grief are welcome to ask questions ahead of a free Zoom webinar hosted by the New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service Behavioral Health and Wellness Team.

The webinar, titled "Let's Talk," will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26. Robert DelCampo, NMSU professor emeritus in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences and founding director of the Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program, will be available to answer questions submitted before the webinar. Participants may submit questions during registration or submit them privately to the host during the event through chat.

The New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service Behavioral Health and Wellness Team is made up of six Extension agents and specialists covering a wide range of program areas. Team members include Amanda Benton, 4-H FCS agent, Santa Fe County; Desaree Jimenez, FCS/4-H agent, Los Alamos County; Karim Martinez, family life specialist; LaJoy Spears, program development and evaluation specialist; Marcy Ward, livestock specialist; and Anne-Marie Wilson, FCS/4-H agent, Valencia County. Their role is to explore ways Extension can promote behavioral health and wellness through Extension outreach.

"May is #MentalHealthMonth, and in recognition of that we decided to host this event," Martinez said. "We wanted people to have the opportunity to connect with a mental health professional and be able to ask questions.

DelCampo said he hopes to "share ideas to help people stay safe during these very unprecedented and trying times."
