Santa Fe, NM – The Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) and members of the Grid Modernization Advisory Group (GMAG) will host a public informational session on Thursday, December 17. The GMAG, convened in response to House Bill 233 passed in the 2020 legislative session, is charged with producing a series of technical and policy whitepapers which will form the body of knowledge necessary for creating a plan for modernizing New Mexico’s electric grid.

At the meeting, EMNRD staff and GMAG members will share the work accomplished over the past three months towards the creation of a roadmap for modernizing New Mexico’s electric grid.

The GMAG’s draft whitepapers will be available for public comment in early 2021.
