Santa Fe, NM: The Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department’s State Parks Division encourages all New Mexicans to provide input on the 2021-2026 Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). The SCORP is being developed with the thoughtful input of local, state, and federal agencies, outdoor recreation businesses, non-profits, and interested public citizens.

The SCORP is updated every 5 years and is a requirement for the state to continue to receive federal funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund.  The plan provides recommendations to guide outdoor recreation providers in achieving a common vision for outdoor recreation resources in New Mexico and identifies the economic contributions of outdoor recreation.
