Albuquerque, NM – January 27, 2021 – As part of the New Mexico Go Red for Women Luncheon on February 24, the New Mexico Heart Association will be hosting the iconic annual Pursonality Auction, in which attendees can bid on a variety of high-end and designer purses, filled with luxurious goods, jewelry, wine, gifts and experiences. All proceeds from the auction benefit the American Heart Association.

“The Pursonality Auction is an opportunity for all to find a gift that matches their personality,” said Sherri Wells, Executive Director of the New Mexico Heart Association. “The event is aptly named ‘pursonality,’ as each purse is themed to include gifts and experiences tailored to a variety of personalities and interests. It’s the perfect time to treat yourself or bid on a purse for someone special in your life—all while supporting the New Mexico Heart Association and efforts to fight heart disease in New Mexico.”

The auction will take place in conjunction with the Go Red for Women Luncheon, which is the cornerstone of the Go Red for Women movement, geared to educate and build awareness on healthy lifestyles and heart disease among women.

“Every 80 seconds, a woman will die of cardiovascular disease, including strokes,” added Wells. “Our mission is to reduce this number and help to save the lives of women in the local area through education, research and awareness. Not only is the Pursonality Auction a fun and exciting event, but it’s also a chance to make a difference and help to save lives.”

For those who want to donate to the auction, consider filling a purse with some of the following items: pampering and zen items, décor, tea party theme, Valentine’s (love) purse, sweetheart purse, and purses that are filled with themed experiences, including wineries, breweries, mountain touring and spa days.

Anyone interested in contributing a purse to the auction, please contact Sherri Wells at sherri.wells@heart.org. For more information on the Go Red for Women Luncheon or to register, click here.
