Access to the outdoors is a basic human right – yet it is one that has often been denied to many of our youth. Transformative outdoor experiences for youth are about more than just recreating and can open the door to bigger conversations around mental and physical well-being, racial and social justice, climate change, equity, conservation and stewardship, and cultural heritage, among others.
New Mexico is making huge strides in providing these opportunities with the creation of the Outdoor Equity Fund, but there is still more work to be done. Hear from amazing organizations throughout the state who are striving to provide equitable access to the outdoors and learn how you can be a part of the movement.
