True Health New Mexico has added Dr. Sahar Chavez as Lead Medical Director to the physician-led health insurance company. In her new role, she will provide leadership across all areas of Medical Management and drive programmatic approaches to member care with regard to quality improvement, utilization management, case management, and disease management.

Dr. Chavez comes to True Health New Mexico from Presbyterian Health Plan, where she was a Medical Director for Centennial Care. She was an OBGYN physician for over 15 years, including time at Lovelace Women’s hospital.

Dr. Chavez earned her medical degree at Tufts School of Medicine. She has a master’s degree in health administration.
