SANTA FE, NM – Today, the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) announces the launch of a new website aimed to better serve the public with a responsive design, better accessibility, and new navigation presenting the Department’s full scope of work. The previous EMNRD website had not been updated since 2012. The new website aims to present our important work and data in a more user-friendly way.

Built by Albuquerque-based web software company Real Time Solutions, the new website is responsive to mobile devices, translates content into Spanish and six other languages, and is easy to update. The new website’s navigation highlights EMNRD’s issue areas so the public can get a better sense of the Department’s priorities, responsibilities, and programs.

“Our website is our vitally important public face. The new design and layout are transparent and the entire website has been modernized from back to front,” said EMNRD Cabinet Secretary Sarah Cottrell Propst. “We encourage the public to explore the new site and provide suggestions on how to keep improving this living document, new contact forms have been implemented throughout to give the public additional ways to get in touch with EMNRD.”

The new EMNRD website has a new URL to better match with all state agency websites. The new website URL is www.emnrd.nm.gov. Seasoned EMNRD website users are encouraged to update their favorite bookmarked pages to the new URLs. Web Applications across the EMNRD site that process oil and gas, mining, and order forms are keeping the same URL and functionality.
