The First Round of Public Hearings/Open Forums

The Citizen Redistricting Committee (CRC) will host be two sets of open forums, each with a unique purpose. The first set of seven public meetings, listed below, is for the purpose of soliciting public input on what the CRC should consider when developing districts maps. One of the major considerations relates to Communities Of Interest (COI). Click here for an important explanation.

This is the time for you to make your voice heard! By visiting this website, you can submit written testimony, your own district plan or provide feedback on what you consider to be a community of interest. These may be submitted at any time through the first round of open forums.

Once the input is received, the CRC will develop a series of draft maps.

The second open forum is scheduled to occur between September 27 and October 7, 2021. These meetings are for the purpose of seeking the public’s input on the proposed redistricting maps.

The first public hearing will be held on Monday, August 2 at the New Mexico Capitol in Santa Fe from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Click here for meeting/zoom information.
