Those interested can apply online by October 27

SANTA FE – New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department Superintendent Linda M. Trujillo announced Thursday that applications are now being accepted for two newly open positions on the Cannabis Regulatory Advisory Committee.

The open positions are for a person with expertise in small business development and a person with experience in environmental science.

“We are moving quickly to fill these positions to ensure that the Cannabis Regulatory Advisory Committee can continue its important work to support the medical and adult-use cannabis industries in New Mexico,” said Trujillo.

The Cannabis Regulation Act established the Cannabis Regulatory Advisory Committee to advise the Cannabis Control Division on the development of rules covering a variety of policy subjects including best practices, the promotion of economic and cultural diversity in the industry, and protection of public health and safety.

Interested candidates can apply online. Applications will be accepted Thursday, October 21, through 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 27. For information, visit the CCD website.

The openings on the committee were created by the passing of member Chase Gentry and by member Miguel Santistevan stepping down.
