PNM, AVANGRID, Inc., The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), and The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce (Hispano Chamber) are partnering together to present the 2022 Energy Summit. The summit will take place in the nation’s oldest capital city, Santa Fe, from April 21-22 at La Fonda on the Plaza. The summit aims to spark dialogue on the critical issues affecting the energy sector, focusing on how the demands of a 21st century economy can be sustainably balanced with the supply of various natural and renewable resources.

New Mexico is where the USHCC was founded in 1979 and is a prime location for this energy summit.  It is the second largest producer for oil and eighth in natural gas as well as a top tiered state in both wind and solar energy potential.

“We are very excited to partner with The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for this year’s Energy Summit,” said Pat Vincent-Collawn, Chairman, President and CEO of PNM, “and hosting the event in our state’s capital highlights New Mexico’s diverse population and clean energy transition. PNM takes pride in leading this transition, not only in our state, but in our country. By bringing together our industry to connect and learn from each other, we can positively impact the communities we serve.”

“The USHCC energy summit is a great opportunity to bring together leaders from the energy sector, the community and policymakers to further the dialogue on how we can accelerate the transformation to clean energy,” said Robert Kump, Deputy CEO and President of AVANGRID. “As a clean energy leader, New Mexico provides the perfect backdrop as we discuss the opportunities to transition energy to cleaner sources at the state and federal levels.”

The two-day event will include multiple guest speakers from PNM, Avangrid, Oncor, Edison International, Chevron, NV Energy, Sandia National Laboratories, DOE, former director of NREL, multiple Native American Tribes and Communities, and other leaders throughout the energy industry. There will be robust discussions and collaborative opportunities focusing on solutions, policy, and cutting-edge technology as our energy industry transitions along the continuum of fossil fuel to more renewable resources.“Join us in New Mexico on April 21 and 22 for our Inaugural Energy Summit and set your expectations high as we explore bold solutions that will shape our nation’s energy future. You won’t want to miss this interactive event where we will discuss solutions, policy, and cutting-edge technology as our energy industry transitions along the continuum of fossil fuel to the new energy economy,” said Ramiro Cavazos, USHCC President & CEO

“The Summit aims to spark dialogue on the critical issues affecting the energy sector, including the demands of diverse human assets blended with the supply of various natural resource assets. Help us shape the current and future demographics in America's energy economy," said Ernie C’deBaca, President & CEO of the Hispano Chamber.
