Santa Fe, New Mexico – Anchorum St. Vincent announces it will provide $275,000 in Rapid Response grant funding to support organizations responding to the wildfire disasters impacting northern New Mexico.

“The fires are devastating to the rural communities in northern New Mexico, and we felt the need to step up and deliver resources right away,” Jerry Jones, President and CEO of Anchorum St. Vincent. “We’re working with organizations on the front lines to ensure these communities get rapid relief while navigating the ever-changing emergency.”

Anchorum St. Vincent serves San Miguel, Mora, Lincoln, Colfax, and Valencia counties, all affected by the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Fire. The health impact organization is focused on supporting the ongoing fight to contain the fires and aid residents in recovering from the damage as the fires grow to be some of the worst in New Mexico history.

Funding from Anchorum St. Vincent has been distributed to Foundation and nonprofit partners who are currently providing disaster relief in the forms of emergency shelter, food and water distribution, access to medical support, and other urgent needs.

The organizations include All Together NM Fund, Help New Mexico, the Las Vegas Community Foundation and the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation.

If you are interested in donating in support of these relief efforts, or if your organization has been impacted, the following community foundations and funds are providing emergency assistance: All Together NM Fund, Help New Mexico, the Las Vegas Community Foundation, Taos Community Foundation and LANL Foundation.

Anchorum thanks all of the emergency responders who are working tirelessly to contain the blazes and those who are providing care for those directly impacted. We hope that all people affected find supportive connection during this heartbreaking time.
