SANTA FE – As of this morning, it has been reported that 19 children and 2 adults were killed in yesterday's shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas.

Senate Republicans issued the following statement regarding the shooting:

"We are truly heartbroken by the senseless act of violence that took place in Texas yesterday. The taking of these innocent lives is yet another reminder of the ever-present evil we face as a people and nation. As we pray for an end to this culture of violence, we also mourn with the parents, students, teachers, and all those impacted by this horrible tragedy."
