In all construction zones, motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, and use extreme caution, as well as continue to be cautious of heavy equipment and construction personnel in the area. PLEASE NOTE: Conditions are subject to change without notice. Double fines for speeding in work zones may be in effect.

Interstates: 

I-25, Mile Marker 85 to 103, north of T or C 

J-H Supply, Inc. (Contractor) will continue replacing the guardrail and end treatments along I-25 in Sierra County. Traffic can expect lane closures in the northbound and southbound driving right lane and shoulder as the contractor is performing these safety improvements.

Overnight lane closures will be in place as needed. Hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2022. 

I-25, Mile Marker 34 to 39, Rincon

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) is working on finalizing the roadway reconstruction project on I-25 north of Las Cruces. Traffic is shifted into the northbound and southbound lanes and exit 35 at Rincon is open. Continue to use caution as contractor completes final project items such as removal of barrier wall, ROGFC and striping. Hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

I-25, Mile Marker 14 to 24, North of Las Cruces

Mesa Verde Enterprises, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a roadway reconstruction project on Interstate 25 from milepost 14 to 24, just north of Las Cruces. Crews will be working in the northbound and southbound lanes; one lane will remain open at all times. Contractor’s hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. 

I-25, Mile Marker 117 & 121, North of Truth or Consequences 

Hasse Contracting Co. will be making repairs to the bridges on I-25 at milepost 117 and milepost 121. Traffic can expect lane closures on I-25 on the southbound lanes until the bridge deck repairs are complete, one lane will remain open. Contractor working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic control will remain in place 24/7. Use caution for workers and equipment in the area. Repairs are expected to be completed by summer 2022. 

US Roadways:

US 180, Mile Marker 47 to 67, Glenwood

Dustrol, Inc. (Contractor) has completed Hot-In-Place Recycling project along US 180 near Glenwood, NM. Traffic can expect no center stipe and reduced speeds. 

US 180 and NM 356 intersection, Bayard

RT Electric (Contractor) will begin installing roadway lighting at the intersection of US 180 and NM 356, Vanadium St. Contractor will have equipment and employees along the shoulders and lanes closures in place as needed. Traffic is encouraged to reduce speeds and use caution. Construction hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Lighting installation is expected to be completed by July 31, 2022. 

US 70 milepost 367 to 385, Arizona to the New Mexico Stateline

Cactus Asphalt (Contractor) will begin crack sealing US 70 in Arizona, traffic control may start or end in New Mexico as the contractor crosses the Stateline. Traffic is encouraged to reduce speeds and use caution. Construction hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  This project is expected to be completed by August 22, 2022. 

State Roadways:

NM 169, Mile Marker 23.4, Magdalena

Hasse Contracting Co. (Contractor) will have a lane closure in place on NM 169 at milepost 23.4 for bridge and culvert repairs. Contractor working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. This closure is estimated to be in place August 2022. 

NM 273 Mile Marker 2, Sunland Park

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) has a lane closure in place for the City of Sunland Park due to required roadway repairs on NM 273 “McNutt Road” at milepost 2. The driving right lane is expected to be closed through August 2022. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, and be cautious of personnel and equipment in the area. 

NM 404 and I-10 Bridge Replacement, Anthony 

AUI, Inc. (Contractor) is continuing with roadwork and replacement of the NM 404 Bridge over I-10 at milepost 162, Anthony exit. Traffic is currently using new bridge as Contractor constructs the other half of the bridge. Please follow detour signage in the area, expect delays. Traffic is open to one lane in each direction. Contractor hours will be Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic control will remain in place 24/7.

NM 359 Mile Marker 1 to 2, Mesilla

A Mountain Construction Company (Contractor) will have equipment and employees along Calle de Norte for the construction of a walking path. Traffic is encouraged to reduce speeds and use caution. Construction hours are Monday through Friday from 7a.m. to 5 p.m.  Walking path is expected to be completed by November 2022. 

Chip Seal Projects, Grant Co:

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be performing “Chip Sealing and Brooming” operations in Grant Co.  Speed limits will be reduced, no center stripe with loose gravel on roadway. Traffic will encounter lane drops with pilot car and flagging operations.    

Roadways affected will be:

NM 15, “Pinos Altos Rd”, milepost 1.3 working north to NM 35. 

State Park Road to City of Rocks, and NM 61 are complete, continue to use caution for loose gravel and no center stripe. 

City of Las Cruces Projects:

Peachtree Hills Road

Peachtree Hills Road between Sonoma Ranch Boulevard and Metro Park Street has been opened to two-way traffic. Temporary traffic control and lane merges in the roadway alignment remain in place. Motorists are urged to obey all placed warning signs. 

Sonoma Ranch Boulevard

As part of the Sonoma Ranch Boulevard Mile 1 Construction Project, shoulder work is scheduled on Sonoma Ranch Boulevard, between Sierra Ventana Avenue and Peachtree Hills Road. The shoulder work is expected to last through approximately August 26, 2022. Additionally, a temporary roundabout is in place at the intersection of Sonoma Ranch Boulevard and Engler Road. Motorist are urged to obey all placed warning signs.
