SANTA FE, NM – The Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) welcomes Sidney Hill as its new Public Information Officer.

“We are excited to have Sidney Hill join EMNRD,” said Secretary Sarah Cottrell Propst. “He brings a wealth of valuable experience having served in communications roles with multiple government agencies as well as working in media. That expertise makes him a strong addition to our team.”

Mr. Hill comes to EMNRD from the Second Judicial District Court in Bernalillo County, where he also served as Public Information Officer. He held a similar position in Sandoval County, following many years of writing about business and technology for national publications and websites. 

“EMNRD plays a vital role in working with private and public sector partners on issues that impact the vast and diverse landscape and people of this great state of New Mexico,” Hill said. “I am honored for the opportunity to play even a small part in the work this agency is doing to continue making New Mexico a wonderful place to live.”
