The Las Cruces International Film Festival adds to its superstar lineup with “Better Call Saul” actor Patrick Fabian. Fabian will receive the “Outstanding Achievement in Drama” award during the festival awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 15 in the Rio Grande Theatre in downtown Las Cruces.

The 8th annual film festival is packed with five days of feature-length, short films and animation from filmmakers across the U.S. and around the world. The event also includes workshops and VIP parties with celebrity guests. The event is presented by New Mexico State University and Visit Las Cruces with support from New Mexico True, The Breaking Bad Store and Mattress Firm.

Tickets are all on sale now starting at $25 for a Day Pass and $25 for the Giancarlo Esposito Celebrity Screening, $75 for an All-Access Pass and $150 for a VIP pass.

Acting for more than 20 years, Fabian is a familiar face not only through his hit series “Better Call Saul” but also from guest starring in countless television shows such as “Friends,” “NCIS,” “The Mentalist,” “24” and others. Fabian is a film actor with high-grossing films and awards to his credit as well as a theatre performer who has worked with world-renowned playwrights and directors.

“Patrick Fabian has had a long and successful career culminating with his work on the New Mexico series ‘Better Call Saul,” said Ross Marks, executive director of the festival and professor in NMSU’s Creative Media Institute. “He is known throughout our great state for his work on that show. We are proud to add him to an already stellar line-up for the 2023 film festival which includes Giancarlo Esposito.”

Esposito will also attend the festival to receive the "Outstanding Achievement in Entertainment Award" after a screening of one of his films and a question-and-answer session at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 13 at the Allen Theatres Cineport.

Other honorees this year include “Hometown Hero” award recipient Marci Dickerson, a Las Cruces entrepreneur and philanthropist.

The festival will open with ‘Land of Dreams’ a movie starring Isabella Rossellini. Rossellini, Matt Dillon, William Mosely, Sheila Vand, Christopher McDonald and Anna Gunn are expected to be on hand for the screening at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 at the Allen Theatres Cineport.
