The state Supreme Court today issued an order scheduling an oral argument on Dec. 13, 2023 in a case brought by New Mexico’s attorney general to invalidate abortion-related ordinances approved by several local governments. The case is State of New Mexico v. Board of County Commissioners for Lea County, S-1-SC-39742.

The Court also issued a miscellaneous order addressing procedural matters in the case, including motions by several organizations to file briefs as amici curiae.
