Construction Update: Water Outage Planned Thursday Evening, March 14, 2024 will affect some businesses

Crews will shut off water in the area of the northernmost roundabout Thursday evening, March 14, 2024 beginning at 9 p.m. to remove existing fire hydrants. During this work, expected to be completed by about 1 a.m. Friday, March 15, there will be no water available at the following businesses and organizations:

Austin Company

Bartoo Sand & Gravel

Citizens Bank

Comfort Inn & Suites

Del Taco

La Cocina

Lakeway Shopping Center, including Organtica Truth or Consequences, Subway, World Finance, Dollar General, Gila National Forest, Black Range District Office, Metro by T-Mobile and Truth Smoke Shop & Vape

Mehryar Ziafat (Dentist)

Motel 6 Truth or Consequences

New Mexico Gas Company

Pizza Hut

Shell Gas Station

Sierra County Administration Building

Sonic Drive-InTOTS Early Intervention

Fill tub(s) with water and use the water to refill toilet tanks, wash hands and water pets.

Fill containers for drinking and cooking.

Please keep taps closed until the water is back on. We recommend running a kitchen or bathroom faucet for 5-10 minutes after the water is turned back on to get rid of milky water, which indicates there is air in the water, or red or discolored water, which indicates there was debris in the pipeline.
