ElPaso SwanLakeEl Paso Symphony collaborates with the World Ballet Company in May for the ballet of all ballets: ‘Swan Lake’

EL PASO, TX – In two weeks, the World Ballet Company will take over El Paso’s Plaza Theatre for two nights of Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake.” The ballet will be performed to a live score played by members of the El Paso Symphony Orchestra.

The two performances in El Paso are part of the World Ballet Company’s signature World Ballet Series. This season, dancers are performing “Swan Lake,” “Cinderella” and “The Nutcracker across the country.

EPSO will accompany the dance company next month in the Russian ballet, including such popular numbers as “Dance of the Little Swans,” “Black Swan Pas de Deux” and the waltz.

The symphony’s 2023-2024 season officially ended over the third weekend of April, so this is one of the last chances to hear Borderland symphony musicians before the ensembles’ 94th season begins in September.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of the ballet or a newcomer, “Swan Lake” will appeal to everyone.

Performances begin at 7 p.m. May 8 and 9 at The Plaza Theatre, located at 125 W. Mills Ave., El Paso, TX 79901. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets for both performances are available online at elpasolive.com/events/world-ballet-series-swan-lake or by calling the box office at 915-231-1100.
