Richard Juan Gallegos, Sr., 50, a Silver City resident passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 in Silver City, NM.

Richard was born in San Diego, CA to Natalia (Gonzalez) and Ramon Gallegos. He grew up in San Diego, CA and relocated to Silver City with his family in 2007. He enjoyed listening to oldies, spending time with his family and working on his cars at “the shop”. He was currently employed by Freeport McMoran, Inc and worked at the Tyrone Mine site. His favorite team was the San Diego Chargers. He was well loved by all and will be missed very much.

He is survived by his loving wife Alia, his son Richard Jr., his daughters Teressa, Maricella and Avalyna Gallegos. He is also survived by his brothers; Carlos Montejano (Dawn) of Virginia, Gilbert Gallegos (Anna), Victor, Michael and Vincent Gallegos of Silver City, Alex Gallegos and sister Anna Gallegos both of San Diego, his "Bestie" Juan Lopez Jr. (Yvonne) of Silver City and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Marcos and Margarita Gonzalez, Gregory and Mary Gutierrez, Uncles Juan Lopez, Lupe, Terry, Rudy and Freddy Gonzalez and cousin DeAnna Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held at 2 O’clock in the afternoon on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 4 O’clock by Father Anthony Basso.
