Lawrence "Billy" Mitchell Coussons, 58, a resident of Deming passed away Saturday October 4, 2014 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at River of Life CitiChurch with Pastor Cesar Chavez officiating. Cremation has taken place at Baca's Mimbres Crematory.

Billy was born October 7, 1955 in Blythe, California. He first came to Deming in 1972 and throughout the years he has lived and worked in several areas but recently returned 2 years ago from Arkansas. He held several work positions including working with the NM State Highway Department, being a short order cook, a grocery clerk, and also worked for the City of Friendswood Maintenance Department and for several years worked for U Haul in Houston, Texas. He always had a dog with him and had a love of horses.

He is survived by his brother, Jack D. Coussons (Sylvia) of Deming, sister, Carol Pastorelli (Tom Alcantar) of Silver City; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A special thanks to the Etheridge family for their longtime friendship with Billy.
