Carmen V. Placencio, 67, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, October 26, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born December 3, 1946 in Silver City, NM to Lucas and Atha Chestnut Valencia. Mrs. Placencio loved working and being around people. She loved her dog "Missy" who will miss her very much.

She is survived by her loving husband Earl of the family home; two daughters, Angela Placencio and fiancé Henry Rowlison of Las Cruces; Teresa Ybarra (Richard) of Arenas Valley; one son, Eric Placencio (Kora) of Gulf Port, MS; four grandchildren, Madison Rowlison, Michael, Victoria and Joshua Ybarra and grandbaby to be; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Russell Valencia (Rachel) of Silver City; Rudy Valencia (Susie) of Silver City; Ray Valencia of Arenas Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday, October 30 at 9:30am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Deacon Bill Holguin officiating. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
