ThelmaRogers rsOn the morning of Tuesday August 18, 2015, Thelma Lea (Mosely) Rogers was surrounded by loved ones as she entered into eternal rest at her home in Bayard, NM. Mrs. Rogers was born on April 24, 1956 to Walter Calvin Mosley and Muriel Madge Mosley in Silver City, NM. On July 8, 1976 she married Richard Lee Rogers and together they would go on to have two children, Aaron and Rhonda.

Thelma loved her family and was a loving homemaker first and foremost. You could always find her supporting her husband and children at sporting events, competitions, clubs, and fairs. She loved to go camping and fishing with her family. She also enjoyed bowling, card games, and dancing with family and friends. Family picnics and holiday dinners were not complete without her special touch. She also worked as a daycare provider for many children at the United Methodist Church and the First Baptist Church in Silver City, NM.

She was a lover of animals and the family home always included a variety of furry companions.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Muriel Mosley. She is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years Richard Rogers of Bayard, NM, her two children Rhonda (Rogers) Wheeler and husband Cory of Fairview, MT and Aaron Rogers of Deming, NM, her sister Norma Brannan and husband Bill of Hurley, NM, two brothers Don Mosley and wife Sharon of Lincoln City, OR and Bobby Mosley and wife Nellie of Texarkana, AR, as well as many dear in-laws and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned at the Church of Christ in Silver City, NM on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Thelma €™s name to the New Mexico Christian Children €™s Home at www.nmcch.org.
