Daniel Sanchez, 55, longtime Columbus resident passed away Thursday July 6, 2017 at his home surrounded by family.

Daniel was born October 16, 1961 to Rosa Ramirez and Arturo Sanchez in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Daniel is survived by wife, Cecilia Sanchez of the home; parents, Arturo and Rosa Sanchez of Columbus; daughters, Marisela Mayberry and husband Virgil of Arkansas, Karla Nevarez and husband Jesus of California; son, Daniel Sanchez Jr. and wife Lizeth of Columbus; brothers, Arturo Sanchez, Jose Luis Sanchez and wife Christina of Albuquerque, Cesar Sanchez and wife Heather of Washington; sisters, Cindy Sanchez of Las Cruces, Dolores Arroyo and husband Juan of Las Cruces; 7 grandchildren, Kevin and Kiana Nevarez, Katelyn, Zoey and Scott Mayberry, Alexa and Adam Sanchez.

Visitation will be Sunday July 9, 2017 at 5 o'clock in the afternoon at Holy Family Mission Church in Columbus with a rosary to follow at 6 o'clock. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at 10 o'clock Monday morning at Holy Family Mission Church with Father Ronald Machado officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Valley Heights Cemetery.
