Sharon Acosta Ortega, 69, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. She was born May 29, 1949 in Silver City, NM to Reynaldo Acosta and Emilia Grado. Sharon was a people person. She loved everyone. According to her everybody was her best friend no matter who you were. She always made sure her pollitos were safe even if it took praying all night. She never judged anyone. She loved and prayed for her family, friends and community. She was a prayer warrior. Often times calling and asking who may be in need of prayer so that she can pray for them. She enjoyed fishing, music, dancing and sitting on the porch with her viejito. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have been touched by her faith and her loving ways.  

She is survived by her husband, Modesto Ortega of the family home; three sons, Modesto Ortega Jr., and wife Christine of Loma Linda, AZ; Gabriel Ortega and companion Robert Gallegos of Rio Rancho; Jerry Ortega and wife Cori of Rio Rancho; four daughters, Donna Ortega of Hurley; Zenaida Rodriguez and companion Tommy Parra of Santa Clara; Esther Ortega of Albuquerque; Emilia Garcia and husband Frank of Las Cruces; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one  brother, Max Flores Jr. and wife Anna of Silver City; six sisters, Debbie Flores of Tucson, AZ; Yolanda Escobar and husband Richard of Silver City; Sandra Flores of Silver City; Belinda Cohn and husband Frankie of Tyrone; Cynthia Zamora and husband Mike of Magdalena, NM; Ronda Torres and husband Alfonso of Silver City; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Emilia Flores; two brothers, Ronnie Acosta and Gilbert Flores.

Holy rosary will be recited by Carmen Terrazas on Saturday, October 6 at 9:30am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. The Memorial Mass will follow at 10:30am at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father Abraham Solis officiating.
