Johnnie Phyllis Morales was born September 1964, in Carlsbad New Mexico. She passed away on February 23, 2020 in her home in Silver City, New Mexico. Phyllis was surrounded by her four children when the Lord called her home. A Funeral Service will be held at Bright Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery. Social Distance and face mask are required  by State Regulations.

 Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Jake Donald Atchley and Johnnie Pauline Atchley, and sister, Donna Sue Russell. She is survived by her four children: Jessica Morales, Jake Morales (Amber), Jennifer Morales, and Joseph Morales (Valerie), and her four grandchildren: Kamdon Gonzales, Ava Wilson, Jaxie McBride, and Maisyn Morales.

Phyllis dedicated her life to her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Phyllis was a natural caregiver. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was most important to her. She selflessly devoted her time to each and every one of them. She was not only an exceptional mother and but was also a trusted friend to her kids.

Phyllis was known for always having a smile on her face. She enjoyed sharing stories with anyone she met. She was kind to everyone and always believed that being courteous was always the best way to approach life. Phyllis was always eager to make moments special for her family and friends. Often, she would carry the work load to make things easier on those around her. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She spent countless hours decorating her house and meticulously wrapping presents for her family. This was the one time of year she could give to her heart’s content.

Phyllis will be greatly missed by those that love her. But, she is now rejoicing with her family in Heaven.
