John “Clay’ Keen passed away on April 29, 2021 at his home in Tyrone, New Mexico. Before his retirement, Clay was VP Engineering for WNM Communications and also served on the Board of Directors. In that capacity, Clay designed & helped facilitate the construction of vital communications for the 15,000 square miles of Rural Southwestern New Mexico.

Clay graduated (Salutatorian) from Andrews Texas High School and earned an Electrical Engineering degree from Texas Tech University. Clay was an EAGLE Scout, & a civilian contractor for the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Clay, during his lifetime enjoyed camping, golf, boating, gardening, & motorcycles.  He will be missed.

Clay was preceded in death by his Father and Mother (ack C. & Alawayne Keen), his Sister & Brother in- law (Mary Beth & Charles Baxter), and a daughter (Vicky). He is survived by his son John (Kristie), daughter Jennifer (Rob) a brother Jack (Helen) two sisters Sunny Brewster (Harley), Loyce Roberts (Morris) and 6 grandkids.

To honor Clay’s memory, a private “Celebration of Life” will be held this summer. Donations should go to your favorite Church or Charity.
