georgeclarkGeorge William (Billy Clark), of Silver City passed away May 6, 2021 at home.  

“Billy” was born November 29, 1953 in Anchorage, Alaska and was the son to Ruth and George W. Clark Jr.. He so loved his family, his sisters, brother, nieces and nephews, friends and extended family

He as a U.S. Army Veteran and was very proud of the military heritage of his father, mother, and great grandparents. He had a deep passion for genealogy and often shared pictures and stories about the people in our family that he researched.

After a tragic car accident took his ability to walk at a young adult age, he traveled to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and earned a Harley Davidson Mechanic Certification and began building a tri-pod motorcycle he could roll his wheelchair up on.

Later, Billy graduated from WNMU in Silver City with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. From this he worked for the Silver City Police Department and started his own Community Security business.

Billy is survived by his brother, Tommy Clark; Uncle, Frank Cook; nephews, Dennis Cook (Vicki) and Ernest Cook; nieces, Betsy Cook and Terral Archer; several grand nieces and nephews, and many great grand nieces and nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; Sisters, Betty Cook (Frank), and niece, Annette Collins Sarantis. He was followed a month later in death by his sister, Regina (Reggie) Dunagan (Clark).

Cremation has been entrusted to Harry and Francis Bright. A Graveside Service to celebrate his life will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Gila Cemetery in Gila, NM. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Billy at the service. You may bring flowers to the graveside, but please to do not send them to the funeral home.
