Manuel “Wensas” Rivera Jr., 57, a resident of Albuquerque, NM entered eternal rest Monday, September 6, 2021 at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born January 4, 1964 in Silver City, to Manuel S. Rivera and Elodia Cervantez. He passed away surrounded by his daughters. He loved being around family for gatherings and there was never a dull moment. He was the King of telling jokes. He loved to watch basketball and an all-time New York Yankees fan. The great joy of his life were his grandchildren. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his mother, Elodia Bell of Santa Clara; four daughters, Margaret Fussell (Jim) of Denver, CO; Kristen Rivera (companion Felix Vigil) of Albuquerque; Amanda Rivera of Albuquerque; Brayana Rivera of Safford, AZ; step-son, Boycito Rodriguez; four grandchildren, Dominic, Hope, Benjamin, and Grahm; one brother, Willie Rivera (Maria) of Tucson, AZ; three sisters, Gloria Jacquez of Bayard; Rosemary Rivera of Raleigh, NE; Martha Muñoz (Gibby) of Santa Clara; cousin and long life friend Robbie Gallardo of Bayard; numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Natalia Anderson.

A Prayer Vigil with rosary will be celebrated on Saturday, September 11 at 3pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Deacon Art Gutierrez reciting. Concluding service and inurnment will follow at Fierro cemetery.
