jaredsaenzJared Paul Saenz entered eternal rest on January 20, 2022 at his home in Albuquerque, NM. Jared’s memory will be kept alive by his parents, John and Tina Saenz; his 6 siblings: Vanessa, Jason and wife Gabriela, Chris, Andrew, Megan, and Joshua Saenz; 4 nieces: Ryan, Briley, Erin, and Bradley Saenz; and 2 nephews: Elias and Joel Saenz. He is also survived by his companion Sabrina Abeita, his uncle Fernando Garza, his uncle and Godfather Robert Garza, his Godmother Felicia Sanchez, a close cousin Mathew Blancett, and numerous aunts and cousins. Jared was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Soledad Carreon and paternal grandparents Johnny and Clorinda Saenz.

Jared began his life in Albuquerque, NM at UNM Children’s Hospital, where he was born 2-months prematurely as a twin. He spent the first nine months of his life on a ventilator before coming home with a tracheostomy and on oxygen. He was in and out of hospitals over the next few years. Despite all he had to overcome – with countless procedures, poking and prodding by doctors and nurses – he still remained a happy kid. His nurses called him “Jare Bear” and loved his outgoing personality.

He graduated from Silver High School in 2008 and attended WNMU before moving to Albuquerque in 2012, where he lived and worked as a Wal-Mart associate. Jared developed true friendships there and was surrounded by co-workers and friends who embraced his humor, compassion, and love of life.

Jared was a genuine, kind-hearted, and outgoing soul who touched the lives of all who knew him. His ability to converse with friends and strangers alike was his special gift. He was an indomitable spirit; always encouraging family and friends to persist in the face of adversity.

He loved cooking and often shared photos of his masterpieces. As an avid sports fan he could be heard by his neighbors cheering for his favorite teams; the Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Flyers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Jared enjoyed hearing about his nieces and nephews and spoke with pride about his brothers and sisters. During his last few months, he found love and happiness spending time with a special person in his life. Those closest to him said they had never seen him happier; he was in a good place. Jared will forever be in our hearts.
