Antonio Correa Norero, 78, Deming resident passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces.

Visitation will begin Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5 to 6 o’clock in the evening at Baca’s Funeral Chapel in Silver City. Recitation of the holy rosary will be recited at 6 led by Deacon Bill Holguin. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10 o'clock in the morning at San Juan Catholic Church in San Juan with the rite of committal and interment to follow at San Juan Cemetery. Fr. Martin Okonkwo, Pastor will officiate.

Antonio was born January 17, 1944 in San Juan, NM to Alejandro and Belen (Correa) Norero. He attended school at Cobre High School. After school he begin working for Chino Mines for many years before retiring. He moved to Deming in 2010 from Arenas Valley, NM and begin working at Wal-Mart as a custodian. On his spare time, he enjoyed watching sports and dining out and enjoying a good cup of coffee and meal. Antonio will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Andy Montoya of Silver City and Antonio Norero Jr., of Phoenix, AZ; 2 brothers, Felix Norero of Bayard and Gabriel Norero of Albuquerque; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, as well as a special niece, Lisa A. Norero of Deming. 

Antonio is preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Belen Norero and 2 siblings, Lilly Pulisfer and Lorenzo Norero.

Pallbearers will serve as Andy Montoya, Antonio, Antonio Jr., Steven and Felix Norero Jr.
