adriantorresAdrian Xavier Torres was born September 22, 1987 in Silver City, NM to Joe Torres and Naomi Jacquez.

He graduated from Silver High School in 2005. He served in the U.S. Navy from 20006-2008 and later served the U.S. Army from 2008-2010, completing multiple missions while deployed in Iraq. Adrian received several commendations: the Iraqi Campaign medal with Fleet Marine Force Combat Operation and Bronze Star; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Mobilization Device; Navy Pistol Shot Sharpshooter Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

He is survived by his parents: Joe Torres (Rachel), Naomi Jacques (Eric), all of Silver City, NM; he is also survived by his children: Dennis Saavedra, Dmitry and Deryk Torres, and Lily Caseras, all of Edgewood, NM; his sister Vanessa Johnson (Al) of Austin, TX; brothers Joe Torres, Jr (Trish) of Silver City,NM,  Kyle Torres (Marissa) of Albuquerque, NM, and Jordan Torres (Andrea) of Silver City, NM; grandparents Silvia Wilson of Rio Rancho, NM; Santos and Elva Torres, Rudy and Betty Jacquez, and great-grandmother Rosa Flores, all of Grant County, NM.

He is also survived by aunts Marisol Torres, Leslie Villegas, and Melissa Kelly-Gonzales; uncles Joseph Gonzales, Eric Gonzales, Hector Villegas, Micho Torres; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Additionally he is survived by his godparents, Joseph Gonzales (Melissa) of Bayard, NM, and Yvonne Lopez (Juan Reymundo) of El Paso, TX; and godson Tobias Molina of Silver City, NM. 

He was preceded in death by his oldest brother Nathan Scott Torres, great-grandparents Juanita Juarez, Esperanza Perez, Maria and Jesus Jimenez, and Jesus Flores; grandparents Linda Jacquez and Jerry Wilson; cousin Alec Gutierrez; and his favorite dancing partner, Auntie Dolores Perez Jaramillo.

Besides being a loving dad to his children, Adrian was an extremely generous, compassionate, and kind person. Adrian was super-friendly, he could start a conversation anywhere, anyplace, anytime, with anyone. Adrian would always lend a helping hand to anybody.

Adrian was a long-time, dedicate, loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, owning numerous KC apparel and he even had KC logos on his truck.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, camper, and had many, many friends who enjoyed his company. To only say that he will be missed is an understatement. Our lives will never be the same again after losing our beloved Adrian.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Torres, Sr., Eric Jacquez, Joe Torres, Jr., Kyle Torres, Jordan Torres, and Matthew Peru.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his children, Brandon Molina, Jake Hernandez, Josh Jordan, Alfred Perez, Rudy Jacquez, Jesse Gonzales, Gabriel Morales, Gilbert Tenorio, Robert Rosales, Israel Hernandez, and Cody Aguirre.

Flag ceremony will be performed by his uncles, Ret. Chief Petty Officer Eric Gonzales and Ret. Sfc. Hector Villegas, and will be presented to Adrian's mom, Naomi Jacquez.
