Rev. Thomas A. Perez, Sr.
Has gone on to his reward.
He was born May 27, 1941 in Hanover, NM.

May 8, 2023 was the day that our Papa went home to be with The Lord Jesus. The one he preached about and lived for; for over 55 years.
It was also the day that our Mama welcomed our Father home.
What more can we say for time would not be enough to describe this man of great faith and many talents.

Ministry:
Bro. Tommy as he was affectionately called by his congregation over his five decades of ministry.
His life will eternally be a life worthy of the Gospel.
Bro. Tommy, began his pastoral calling pastoring a church of the Apostolic Assembly in Truth or Consequences NM at the age of 27. He followed in the footsteps of his Father Rev. Pedro G. Perez.

In 1972 while working as a Barber in Tyrone, he was commissioned by a vision to leave his profession and into ministry full time. HE NEVER LOOKED BACK!!

Bro. Tommy, is the founder of Cedar Hills Tabernacle of Silver City, and Cedar Hills Church of the Cross in Las Cruces. He also founded Millennium Vision (for missionary work) along with Cedar Hills -Uganda Ministries.
His ministry also recently planted a Church in Porsgrun, Norway. We are proud along with thousands around the Globe to call him Our Pastor.

Bro. Tommy not only was a Missionary
( which is an Apostle;) he also is a Great Visionary.
His ministry took him all over the United States, Canada, Latin America, Norway and Africa. Many Pastors and ministers were inspired by his ministry. Today over 1,200 churches and countless of people have been called by his ministry; to The Message of the Hour brought to us by Our Prophet, Bro. William Marrion Branham

Music:
Bro. Tommy, learned to play the guitar, and trumpet at an early age and was an accomplished musician.
There was almost no musical instrument he could not play.
He was the bugler of his ship the USS PERKINS in the US Navy. And also played lead guitar in a band while serving his country. He loved to worship the Lord by his music. App8 in Cedar Hills along with the church orchestra is a direct result of his passion for Music.

His Life:
Our Father was inspired to entitle a message.
“Life is a Ball-game”.
His understanding of Life and its turns and difficulties made him a great counselor to his people. He knew that only by trials could your Character be molded into the image of Christ.
I Peter 1:7
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, ...

We can hear him say:
First base, second base, third base, Home!
That’s where he just arrived at!!
Only at Home do you know exactly who you are positionally in Christ.

Ephesians 4:11-12

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Bro. Thomas, was used mightily by The Lord in praying for the sick. We personally saw blind eyes open, paralytics walk, people that could not hear or speak do so. Possessed persons were set free.
It was another Book of Acts. They asked him what constitutes a successful service. He said, “The lost are found, the sick healed, the saints are blessed”!

The Man:
Bro. Perez, showed us with his Life,
How to live and Never, Ever, ever give up!!
Bro. Tommy never gave up on us. He is Our beloved Friend!
He loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors he loved to see God in his Creation. He was a fan of the LA Dodgers, Lakers, and the Rams. He enjoyed life, loved to laugh and loved a good story.
He will never be Forgotten!! We are his workmanship in Christ. We are the Seal of his Apostleship!

He is survived by four sons, Thomas T. Perez Jr., and wife Laura of Las Cruces; Caleb T. Perez and wife Diana of Las Cruces; William P. Perez and wife Deborah of Las Cruces; David J. Perez of Denton, TX; two daughters, Jacqueline Schwede and husband Vincent of Sacramento, CA; Naomi Mathieu and husband Ray of Silver City; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Abraham Perez of Las Cruces; two sisters, Ruth Collins and husband Ross of Las Cruces; Maria Eva Arguigo of Puyallup, WA.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Viola Terrazas (’96) six brothers, Pete Perez, David Perez, Moises Perez, Mike Perez, Danny Perez, and Louie Perez; four sisters, Magdalena Tovar, Martha Parra, Rachel Abeyta, and Rebecca Sanchez.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16 from 5-6pm at the Las Cruces Convention Center. The evening service will commence at 6pm with Pastor Caleb Perez reciting. The funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 17 at 9am at the LC Convention Center with Pastor Caleb Perez officiating.  Concluding service and interment will take place at Memory Lane cemetery.  Pallbearers are Thomas Omar Perez, Seth Perez, Timothy Mathieu, James Schwede, William Noah Perez, Ethan Peter Perez, Aaron Esquibel, and Andres Felipe Osorio. Honorary pallbearers are Vincent Joseph Schwede, Jonathan Aaron Schwede, Abraham Michael Perez, and Isaiah Paul Perez.
