Genoveva Placencio Rodriguez Padilla, 91 of Silver City, passed away June 8, 2023 in Silver City.

Genoveva was born November 24, 1931 in Gila, New Mexico to Ramon Guerra Rodriguez and Felipa Placencio Rodriguez. She was raised in Gila and Silver City until she moved to Los Angeles in her early adult years, then returned to Silver City years later to retire.

Eva is survived by, son, Alfred and wife Elvera Castro, (grandkids) Devon Curley, Markus Curley, Anissa Castro, Analea Castro, Alfred J. Castro (great grandkids) Mariah, MiCavian, Mia, AddaLynn, MaTaiya, MarZoyie, Aryen-Lea Son, Nathan Padilla, (partner Alicia); grandson David Padilla; granddaughter, Christina Padilla Son, Frank Moran; grandchildren, Claudia and Francisco Moran Daughter, Sarah Andrade; granddaughter, Corinne Lewis (Billy); great grandson Justin, great grandson Justin; great granddaughter, Danielle; granddaughter, Natalie Grandson, Nathan; Children, Brittany, Marcella, and Zane. His granddaughters, Xaria and Davie Son, David Padilla Sisters, Maria Martinez, Sally Andazola, Priscilla Salaiz (Arthur), Isidra Gonzalez, Virginia Gutierrez Brothers, Mino (Sara), Freddy (Rosemary) and Leo

At Genoveva's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at the Gila Catholic Cemetery in Gila, New Mexico. Officiating will be Father Oliver Obele. Immediately following the services, a reception will be at the Gila/Cliff Exhibit Hall next to the Cliff fairgrounds.
