MunozRRudy Munoz, 65, entered eternal rest on December 17, 2023 surrounded by love at Gila Regional Medical Center.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary and Prayer Vigil will take place on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at ten o’clock in the morning at the Santa Clara Catholic Church with the Funeral Liturgy to follow immediately thereafter.  Concluding Services and burial will be at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery.  Officiating will be Father Casmir Anozie.  Serving as pallbearers are Paul, Issac, Chase, Jason, Alex, Matthew, Vincent and Simon. Honorary Pallbearers, Godson Kevin and Nephew Gabriel, along with all his brothers, sister and all his nieces and nephews.

Rudy was born to Larry Munoz and Dora Silva Munoz on January 21, 1958 in Silver City, NM.  He grew up with six brothers and one sister in Hurley, NM.  He was a 1976 graduate of Cobre High School.  Rudy was an extremely hard-working man.  He worked for Cobre Consolidated Schools for more than 40 years in the maintenance department before retiring.

Rudy met the love of his life Carmen Vigil in high school. They remained high school sweethearts for nearly 50 years.  Carmen and Rudy were married for 44 years. They raised a beautiful family of three daughters and one son in Bayard, NM.  His family was by his side every step of the way in his valiant fight against cancer.  Rudy was called home and restored to complete health, free of pain with family by his side.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

 Rudy is survived by his loving wife, Carmen, of the home; daughters, Lisa Munoz of Santa Clara, NM, Melissa Munoz of North Hurley, NM, and Annette Jimenez (Jason) of Arenas Valley, NM; son, Paul Munoz of Bayard, NM.  five gandchildren, Ashley and Emily Esqueda, Issac Munoz, Chase and Ian Jimenez; sister, Donna (Raul); brothers, Larry (Elizabeth), Ray (Margaret), Max (Tina), Simon (Misty).  Also surviving Rudy are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews that all loved him dearly.

MunozR2Rudy is preceded in death by his parents Larry and Dora Munoz; brothers, Frank and John Munoz; nephew, Eddie Jaramillo; niece, Vanessa Vigil and great niece, Jazmyne Rose Holguin.  Who we know all welcomed him, along with The Lord, to heaven with open arms.
