William D Rook “Dee”, 75  passed away Sunday, December 16th, at his residence in Mimbres, New Mexico.

A Funeral Service will be held at Bright Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at 11:00 a.m  with Reverend William Fries of Rio Mimbres Baptist Church. 

William was born in Plano, Texas  on April 21,  1937. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Emma McCarty Rook, his three brothers, James D. Rook, Doy Rook, Delaney Rook and his sister Dorothy McCann. William Rook is survived by his daughter Anne Dee Rook from Las Cruces, NM; his two sisters Donnie Forman of Mimbres, NM and Dobie Mouser of Plano, Texas; and brother Darrell Rook (Faye) of Powderly ,Texas. 

William was a retired mechanic from the Kennecott Copper mines. He loved to be in the mountains cutting wood and sharing what he cut with others in need. He was a friend to all; and if you called for him, he would come happily to help. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
