FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 PM MDT
Friday.

* TIMING...Strong winds of 25 to 35 mph will sporadically occur
after midnight and then by late morning become more sustained
and reach their peak by mid afternoon with wind gust of 50 mph
possible.

* WINDS...Winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph possible by
Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...The strong winds will create hazardous driving
conditions especially on north/south running roads and along the
highways west of Las Cruces. The strong winds could also lead
to some isolated power line and tree damage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
