I want to publicly say THANK YOU to the Gila Economic Development Alliance for sponsoring the purchase of a marketing display for us to use to showcase our community and our area. On this evening, the Chamber of Commerce has premiered the display at the Grant County Day Legislative Reception in Santa Fe. It is a beautiful 10 ft. long by 8 ft. high display of a beautiful scene from the Gila National Forest with three video screens steaming video of various sights around Silver City and Grant County. The WNMU promotional video looks great on the HD screens. I also want to say THANK YOU to John Benediktson at Benediktson Computers (575-956-9723) for helping me with the amazing system to play the videos on the three screens. The display looks great, and it will be fantastic as we market the reasons why people need to visit Grant County, relocate to Grant County or bring a new business to Grant County.

Lately our area has gotten more national publicity from a couple of publications. I can always tell when this happens because I begin receiving more requests than usual for tourism and relocation packets. We pack almost three pounds of information in these packets in an attempt to get more people interested in visiting our communities. Members of the Chamber of Commerce can give us brochures, business cards and/or other items to include in these packets. So what does it take to become a chamber member and take advantage of the incredible chamber benefit? You simply fill out a membership application and pay the annual fee. For most basic businesses, this is only $155.00 a year. Call our office at 575-538-3785 to learn about additional benefits for members.

The Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce... working hard for our members and our community!
