Biden Administration Travels to Dubai to Announce Latest Anti-Energy Rule

Washington , D.C. - While most Americans were sleeping, the Biden Administration announced their latest attack on American energy from the United Nations Climate Summit in Dubai. The new rules target American oil and natural gas producers and are the latest among hundreds of Biden’s administrative actions to push an extreme climate agenda. In response, Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future issued the following statement:

Governor Lujan Grisham Latest Eco-Hypocrite to Jet Off to Dubai

Albuquerque – For the third year in a row, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is traveling to the United Nations annual climate summit. This year’s summit is being held in the United Arab Emirates, home to the world’s seventh largest supply of oil and gas.  The Governor’s press release did not disclose if New Mexico’s taxpayers are funding her way to the annual junket. In response, Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future issued the following statement:

New Mexico Car Dealers to Biden: EVs "stacking up on our lots"

Albuquerque – Nearly 3,900 car dealerships are sounding the alarm on President Biden’s electric vehicle (EV) mandates, including 41 dealers in New Mexico. Dealers are raising concerns over President Biden’s push to inject more EVs into the market saying that the majority of their customers don’t want them. Dealers warn EVs are “stacking up on our lots” while EV technology “is not adequate to support the needs of the majority of our consumers.” The warning letter arrives less than two weeks after Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham forced through EV sales mandates of her own, and as the liberal Democrat governor of Connecticut abandons his state’s EV mandate.

“It’s really simple: New Mexicans don’t want to be told what kind of car to drive, but Governor Lujan Grisham refuses to listen,” said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. “If EVs are piling up on dealer lots today, the Governor’s forced quotas will cripple these businesses in just a few years. The Governor is living in a fantasyland of green dreams and it is past time she open her eyes to reality.”

UN Climate Elites Demand Americans Eat Less Meat

Washington, D.C. - Ahead of their annual climate retreat, the United Nations is expected to issue a plan calling on western nations, including the United States, to dramatically reduce meat consumption. The UN Food and Agriculture Organization will publish their food systems road map during their meeting this week in Dubai. US Climate Czar John Kerry, along with other members of the Biden Administration, are expected to make the trip to the conference.

“It’s unclear which will come first: the UN taking away your hamburger or Joe Biden confiscating your gas stove so you can’t cook it,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “This is the epitome of the extreme climate agenda: John Kerry may want us to serve tofu next Thanksgiving, but America’s ranchers and families can choose for themselves without the help of the UN.”

Ignoring Public Outcry, Governor's Board Rubber Stamps Forced Electric Car Mandate

Albuquerque – Despite days of strong opposition at public hearings, members of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham's hand-picked Environmental Improvement Board voted to advance her electric vehicle mandates late Thursday. The California-style requirement forces 4 out every 10 new cars sent by out-of-state manufacturers to New Mexico be an EV starting as early as 2026, with escalation triggers to follow.

“This is nothing more than a blatant end around from Governor Lujan Grisham’s unelected puppets to circumvent the will of the people to implement a failing green agenda,” said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. “If New Mexicans want an electric vehicle today, they are free to buy one, Yet, because of their high price tag and unreliability, they make up less than 1 percent of cars in the state. New Mexicans are rejecting the Governor’s EVs, so she has no choice but to force them on us."

Washington, D.C. - Climate Czar John Kerry is celebrating the Biden Administration’s latest climate agreement with China. According to the State Department, Kerry met with Chinese leaders in California ahead of President Biden’s trip to San Fransisco to meet with President Xi. The agreement, among many issues, states that China and the United States “remain committed to the effective implementation” of the Paris Climate agreement.

House Committee Widens Investigation Into Deb Haaland's Actions

Albuquerque – The House Committee on Natural Resources is widening its investigation into Biden Interior Secretary Deb Haaland’s “potential misuse of her position and lack of impartiality.” Yesterday, the committee sent a letter to a New Mexico-based environmental group raising concerns about their actions and Secretary Haaland’s potential misuse of her position to benefit them.
