DPNM Touts Grand Opening of 2016 Labor Headquarters in Las Cruces

Las Cruces, N.M. - Today, Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM) Treasurer Robert Lara touted the grand opening of the 2016 Labor Headquarters in Las Cruces. Lara, participated in the Second Annual Gracias! Bus Tour, which was organized by New Mexico's labor organizations and kicked off in Las Cruces Thursday. Events included a community ice cream social, the grand opening of the 2016 Labor Headquarters, and an evening reception.

"It was wonderful to see our community out in support of our Democratic leaders who fight every day to protect New Mexico workers and their families. The new Labor Headquarters here in Las Cruces will continue to ensure Labor and our Democratic legislators have the support they need to continue their fight," said DPNM Treasurer and Las Cruces resident Robert Lara. "Governor Martinez and the Republican Party have created a hostile environment for our working families by promoting legislation and policies that limit a workers' ability to organize. We must take back the House of Representatives so anti-worker policies can be stopped in their tracks for the good of our communities."

The Second Annual Gracias! Bus Tour, started in Las Cruces yesterday and will continue through the weekend with stops in Truth or Consequences, Los Lunas, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe.
