Arroyo and Small Stream Advisory Issued

The national weather service in el paso has issued an

* arroyo and small stream flood advisory for...
  East central grant county in southwest new mexico...

* until 515 pm mdt

* at 316 pm mdt...National weather service doppler radar indicated
  Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall across the advisory area. Doppler
  Radar estimated more than an inch of rain has hallen in an area    
  Between pinos altos...Bayard and hanover with more rain expected.  
  Low water crossings along us 180 and other roads in the area may   
  Experience flooding.   

* locations impacted include...
  Silver city...
  Arenas valley...
  North hurley...
  Fort bayard...
  Santa clara...

Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause minor flooding to
Occur...Especially along small streams and near low water crossings.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Additional rainfall amounts of a half inch are possible in the
Advisory area.
