Darby Road Fire Information - Final Evening Update

Incident Name: Darby Rd.            
Start Date & Time: 12/2/2013
Start Location: Darby and Lincoln Rd. Chaves County                  
Cause of Fire:  Unknown
Area Vegetation: Grass
Acres Burned: Unknown
Ownership(s):  Private
Structures Threatened:  Structures are no longer threatened.  
Structures Burned: 0
Evacuations (Y or N & #): NO

 
Situation:  Crews have been able to stop the spread of the fire. The fast moving fire was burning toward the Pecos River but crews were able to knock it down before it reached the banks. The fire is smoldering in some areas, with very little activity observed. Crews will remain on scene this evening looking for hot spots and will continue to build and strengthen containment lines. The cause is under investigation. No size was given at last report.
