Photos by Mary Alice Murphy

"Captured!," a photo show featuring nature photography, opened with a reception Friday, January 31, and is available for viewing at the Mimbres Region Arts Council Gallery throughout the month of February.

FeVa Fotos, Tom Vaughan and Sandy Feutz, along with seven members of the Silver City Photography Club showed their best photos of nature, from bears to birds to spiders and landscapes.

At left are the early birds of the club to the reception. From left are Elroy Limmer, Rod Rees, John Catsis, Tom Vaughan, Sandy Feutz and Jim Mathews shown with some of the photos on display.

Next to arrive, above, was Bruce Bloy with his black-and-white photo of White Sands.

And then Walter "Ski" Szymanski came to the party and showed off his "Spider" photo.
