Silver Consolidated Schools Announces its Strategic Plan for the 2014-2015 School Year

Adopted by the Board of Education

District Goals

• Attendance
Each school will increase attendance by 1% until a 95% attendance rate is achieved. When a 95% attendance rate is achieved, this % will be maintained.

• Technology
Provide accessibility of computers and technology to staff and students to be competitive in today's world.

• Responsibility
Increase responsible student behavior as measured by the number of discipline referrals.

• Curriculum
District aligned and adopted curriculum to ensure students show growth through formative assessment.

• Career Readiness
Develop and plan an innovative curriculum which combines academic instruction, career training, and structured work experiences designed to bridge the classroom learning and workplace skills as measured by a board adopted plan.

Mission Statement

The mission statement of Silver Consolidated School District in cooperation with students, parents and community is to provide quality educational opportunities for all students, to promote career pathway excellence both academically and vocationally in a safe and caring environment, by enhancing self-confidence through personal responsibility, and to develop life-long learners who will become productive members of society in a diverse and changing world.
