Faith Diamanti, 14, and Jossephene Flores, 16, flank fashion designer Kristen O'Connell at Fashion Forward, held at the Silver City Public Library on Saturday. In front of them are designs and colored pencils to start their own designing.

Kristen O'Connell, who graduated from Silver High School and was raised in the area, is a rising fashion designer. She returned to her hometown to talk to girls about the direction her love of fashion has taken her. At Silver High School on Friday she talked to students there. Saturday morning, she met with girls at the Silver City Public LIbrary.
