A huge thanks to the Rainbow Girls of Silver City for their recent food drive. We were still one week out from our food bank delivery and getting pretty short in the front food pantry, so it was a major blessing.

If you or your organization would like to do a food drive for us, please give me a call or find out more here.

Richard of TopMark Construction finished tiling the back pantry this week and it will make it so much easier to keep clean than our old, painted cement floor. It also gave us a chance to paint our pantry shelves and organize it. A 100% improvement.

Next on the agenda is some major work in the garden and greenhouse by Ivan, Louis, myself and anyone else who cares to lend a hand. Fresh produce is always a welcome addition at lunch in the soup kitchen. And a huge thanks to Mr. Jay Goats for the truckload of manure he dropped off.

There will be a meeting of the Sierra House Advisory Board on Wednesday at 1pm and Susan Woodward with the Department of Health will be coming in on Friday lunch to give a presentation on services they have available.

And once again a huge thanks to Abe Villarreal and his crew for cooking our Saturday lunches and Barbara Saxton and her bunch for Sundays. I love being able to provide a hot meal every day of the week. Thank you guys so much!
