The High Desert Humane Society has a limited number of reduced cost dog houses available to low income residents.  Please call the Humane Society at 538-9261 to check for availability.  

The Society’s “Every Dog Deserves a Warm Bed” program is in full swing.  Free bags of straw are being given out to anyone in need.  Straw makes excellent bedding when placed inside a dog house. Night time temperatures are expected to remain low, so please take all necessary steps to insure that your pet has a weather proof dog house with plenty of bedding to keep them warm.
